WNBC 4 Sports anchor and Sports Broadcasting Camp co-founder Bruce Beck was recognized by the National Sportscasters and Sportswriters Association (NSSA) as the 2015 New York Sportscaster of the Year. The honor marks the 8th time that Bruce has been recognized by the NSSA.

Bruce was named the New York NSSA Sportscaster of the Year from 2007-2012, and agin in 2014 when he shared the award with friend and Sports Broadcasting Camp co-founder Ian Eagle. In addition, Bruce won the New Jersey Sportscaster of the Year Award for his work on Comcast in 1999 and 2002.

Bruce will be honored June 18-20 by the National Sportscasters and Sportswriters Association.
We are the Champions - Beck & Eagle share 2014 NY Sportscaster of the Year Honors

Congratulations to our very own Bruce Beck and Ian Eagle for finishing in a tie for the 2014 National Sportscasters and Sportswriters Association New York Sportscaster of the Year award. It is the second straight honor for Eagle and the seventh overall for Beck. The long-time friends have partnered to produce the Bruce Beck and Ian Eagle Sports Broadcasting Camp for the last 14 years.

The awards ceremony will be held June 8, 2015 in Salisbury, NC. Congratulations go out as well to our friends and camp guest speakers New Jersey Devils radio voice Matt Loughlin (New Jersey Sportscaster of the Year) and New York Daily News writer Frank Isola (New York Sportswriter of the Year) for claiming 2014 honors. The former broadcast partner of both Eagle and Beck, Bill Raftery of FOX/CBS, was named to the NSSA Hall of Fame.
